Melbourne dealmaker David Williams appears to have snapped up a near 5 per cent stealth stake in Tasmanian salmon farmer Tassal Group, making a return to the company he floated nearly two decades ago.
An entity backed by Williams looks like the buyer of 10.1 million Tassal shares that crossed in two big trades last Friday, taking most of the stock off institutional investor Yarra Capital.
