Citi’s head of sponsors resigns; heads to Rothschild

Citigroup managing director and head of sponsor coverage, Simon Marrison, has resigned.

Street Talk understands Marrison has signed to join former colleague, Alex Cartel, at Rothschild Australia. Cartel, who was Citi’s head of investment banking, capital markets and advisory for Australia and New Zealand, was hired by Rothschild last August. He is set to join Rothschild in the newly created role of head of financial sponsors, Australia which reports to Cartel.
