Aussie sport legends bag stake in golf buggy maker MGI

Australian golf icon Karrie Webb, Olympic basketballer Matthew Dellavedova and cricket star Mitchell Starc have taken a stake in electric golf buggy maker MGI, co-investing alongside mid-market private equity outfit Anacacia Capital.

The investment, first revealed by this column in July, will see the group come in alongside MGI’s family-led management team, refreshing the company’s register for the first time since it was founded in 1993.
