On Thursday around lunchtime – as the world was digesting the full extent of Donald Trump’s tariff madness – former US Treasury secretary Janet Yellen looked like a visitor in a far-off land.
Yellen was spotted lunching at Cafe Sydney, the popular tourist restaurant sitting at the base of Circular Quay, with her husband, George Akerlof, the Nobel Memorial Prize-winning economist.
