Woolworths’ purchase (through subsidiary Endeavour Group) of Oakridge Wines earlier this month brings an award-winning vineyard to its growing stable of fine wines.

It also deepens the professional links between Woolworths chairman Gordon Cairns and Ilana Atlas, who owned Oakridge with her husband, Perpetual chairman (and ex-ASIC chairman) Tony D’Aloisio.
