Australia's two largest states have both held inquiries to adjudicate their biggest coronavirus stuff-ups. Both had five weeks of hearings, give or take a few days.

In New South Wales, the Ruby Princess Inquiry had seven lawyers appearing for the various witnesses, according to the transcripts. Victoria's Hotel Quarantine Inquiry, for which public hearings have almost concluded, has had at least 45 lawyers appearing for the many witnesses.
