Trump triggers radical profit boost for conservative lobbyists

CT Group’s fortunes have done a full reversal – from the red to strong profits – before the election has even been called.

Donald Trump’s presidency may be alarming Australia’s steel and aluminium producers, but it’s hardly hurting conservative lobbyists. Or corporate advisers, as Sir Lynton Crosby’s CT Group would now prefer to consider itself.

The famed firm’s latest financial filings show its operating profits soared by 231 per cent last calendar year, off a 16 per cent jump in revenue. It finished 2023 deep in the red, so it’s a remarkable reversal in fortunes.
