So Rio Tinto convened two cultural heritage seminars for its investors on Tuesday, during which the chair of the board’s sustainability committee, Megan Clark, admitted to being ashamed of presiding over the destruction of Juukan Gorge.

“It is hard to even explain the level of hurt and shame that we feel and the shame that I personally feel,” she said.
