Online news site The New Daily suffered a 92 per cent fall in revenue in the year through June, according to its financial statements – an oddity in a sector currently replete with robust advertising streams.

By way of comparison, Nine Entertainment (which publishes this newspaper) grew its digital advertising revenues across newspaper mastheads and digital titles by 10 per cent in financial 2022.
