Steven Marshall’s PwC snub could have cost more than the Games

PwC did all it could to convince South Australia to bid for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. It didn’t work, but neither did Marshall’s re-election campaign.

Maybe we’re only just noticing, but every scandal these days seems to have a PwC angle.

The Victorian government’s hastily unwound plans for the 2026 Commonwealth Games are no exception to the rule, even if it’s an increasingly uncomfortable EY that did the initial government modelling.
