After the people of Warringah turfed Tony Abbott at the 2019 election, hope sprung forth on Sydney’s northern beaches about its new independent representative, Zali Steggall. Out with the bruiser careerist, and in with the former Olympic skier with fresh, bold, green ideas.
Steggall found support in activist group GetUp , then was backed by Simon Holmes a Court’s teal movement in 2022. Part of her latest voter material is “Warringah’s road map to zero”, a check-list for constituents on what they can do to bring down their own emissions.
