Shareholders want to know more about Twiggy’s private jet life

It turns out Andrew Forrest’s many overseas trips to campaign for climate change action come with a hefty carbon footprint.

Joining the private jet set may enable billionaires to avoid the rabble at airports, but it can’t shield them from shareholders. As Andrew Forrest experienced last week, when the Australian Shareholders Association took aim at Fortescue’s private jet use.

The association’s chief executive, Rachel Waterhouse, called for greater transparency from the iron ore giant around its Bombardier 7500’s costs, emissions and non-business travel. It was published in The West Australian, which does suggest Kerry Stokesbrief non-aggression pact with Twiggy is over.
