Scotch College doesn't look far for new chairman

While the spotlight is currently fixed on elite Toorak boys’ school St Kevin’s College, we’re more interested in its Presbyterian neighbour Scotch College, on the Hawthorn side of Gardiners Creek. As we’ve previously observed, there are no politics quite as compelling as private school politics.

The council of Scotch College has been chaired since 2012 by former state Liberal president, David Kemp. Entirely apt given his starring role – as John Howard’s Education Minister, no less – in institutionalising the overfunding of Australia’s elite schools.
