Pharmacy Guild still the natural enemy of competition

The Guild’s preferred business model is its members on high margins and their customers paying little, with the taxpayer eternally bridging the difference.

When Pharmacy Guild national president Trent Twomey triumphantly posted on his Facebook page last week that the “$1 discount is being phased in for all patients at all pharmacies”, some of his constituents were, well, a little perplexed.

“Have I missed something – why is this a positive,” one asked. “Was just about to say the same,” another responded.
