The Melbourne Bionics Institute got more than it bargained for when it invited Melbourne investment banker and biotech backer David Williams to deliver a keynote speech last week. At least, judging by the email chief executive Robert Klupacs sent out a day later.
Williams “caused offence to some members of the audience through the retelling of inappropriate stories and disrespect for the Acknowledgment of Country,” Klupacs gravely informed.
