The Morrison government is set to appoint the chairman of its Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Steven Skala, to the Foreign Investment Review Board.
It is not merely Skala’s steady three years’ oversight of the CEFC that has endeared him to the government. Skala is also the Australian vice-chairman of Deutsche Bank, and long-time mentor and confidant of Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, himself an alumnus of Deutsche.
