When Neil Perry, Chris Lucas and other high-profile restaurateurs unveiled their Australian Restaurant & Cafe Association last Friday, as notable as their collaboration to create a new industry body was what they didn’t say.
They didn’t, for example, take any swipes at the Restaurant & Caterers Association, even as they launched a rival organisation they hoped would help their industry through its slow-moving crisis.
