When Crown Casino passed hands from James Packer and (now Star CEO) Steve McCann to Blackstone, the global investment giant needed executives to take it to paradise.

In July 2022, Blackstone real estate chief Chris Tynan hired Ciaran Carruthers from Wynn Macau, lauding him as a “highly experienced” and “respected industry veteran”. Justin Casey, a trusted lieutenant, was named chief casino officer.
