Top rental yields for houses and apartments are retreating to the suburban fringes of the nation's capitals.
Investors chasing yield might need to travel more than 40 kilometres from central business districts to where property prices are lower, risks higher and there are more tenants, shows rents analysis by property information company CoreLogic RP Data.
