Home vendors in some pockets of regional Victoria are facing the toughest selling conditions in the country as housing stock piles up despite falling prices, data from CoreLogic shows.

Areas dominated by owner-occupiers such as Creswick-Daylesford-Ballan, Barwon-West and Heathcote-Castlemaine-Kyneton topped the most oversupplied markets in the country where total listings nearly doubled compared with the five-year average.
