Spring selling season starts slowly as vendors take wait-and-see approach

The spring selling season has kicked off slowly, with the number of homes going under the hammer static, leading some experts to predict the traditionally busy period for auctions could be pushed out to late spring and early summer.

Just over 2000 homes went to auction on the weekend, similar to the number last week but fewer than a year ago when 2275 homes were auctioned, according to property research and data firm CoreLogic.
