The portion of homes resold within two years of purchase has soared in parts of regional Queensland, Brisbane and Perth, much of that sparked by the recent capital gain windfalls, data from CoreLogic shows.

However, in some cases the sharp increase in mortgage repayments since May 2022 could have also prompted some recent home buyers to sell up, experts say.
