Reclusive philanthropist to sell $70m original-condition Sydney home

The Vaucluse home of 98-year-old philanthropist Isaac Wakil has hit the eastern suburbs trophy market after 65 years with price expectations around $70 million.

While some local sources suggest the original-condition home will be met with the wrecking ball, it’s the 1400-square-metre, dual-access block with panoramic Sydney Harbour views that’s driving the hefty price tag.
