Clare O’Neil has only been housing minister for six weeks, but she faces intense pressure to deliver changes on the ground in the next six months ahead of the election.

As Master Builders Australia chief executive Denita Wawn says pointedly, there’s a lot of talk but not enough action evident. Certainly, it’s nowhere near enough to reach the five-year target of 1.2 million new homes governments are happy to endorse.
