Apple commits billions to fix housing crisis it helped cause

San Francisco | Apple has announced a $US2.5 billion ($3.63 billion) plan to help ease the housing crisis in California, becoming the latest tech giant in the state to address a problem that it helped cause.
The plan includes a $US1 billion investment fund for affordable housing and another $US1 billion to help first-time homebuyers find mortgages.
