Office portal provider Equiem expands to London & New York, eyes Aconex success

Michael Bleby

Equiem, which develops intranets for buildings to allow owners to connect with their occupiers, is expanding to the UK and US and is hoping to copy the success of property technology company Aconex.

The Melbourne-based company started by Lorenz Grollo in 2011 has signed up Lendlease's International Quarter London, a £2.3 billion ($3.99 billion) mixed-use precinct in East London's Stratford as well as three other office landlords. In the US, it is rolling out the platform in office buildings of Adams & Co, the manager of 17 Manhattan buildings and has signed a contract with another unidentified landlord that owns more than 20 million square feet (185 hectares) of prime office space, also in Manhattan.
