Embattled pubs owner hasn’t paid super to staff all year

Staff working for embattled developer Virtical and the popular pubs and hotels it operates have complained to the Tax Office they are owed thousands of dollars in superannuation that has not been paid for the entire year.

Many current and former employees at Virtical, which operates Sydney’s Republic Hotel, Melbourne’s Adelphi Hotel and Hotel Australasia in Eden on the NSW South Coast, told The Australian Financial Review they had not realised they were underpaid super because their payslips falsely recorded payments.
