The head of one of the country’s most successful corporate farmland investors has urged Australian superannuation funds to invest in the agricultural sector, calling it an “unbelievable schematic” with a proven track record of generating strong returns.

“They’re not making any more land and the world’s running out of food,” Proterra Australian managing director Becs Willson told The Australian Financial Review Property Summit last week.
