WA Treasurer quits in blow to Labor re-election hopes

West Australian Treasurer Ben Wyatt will quit politics at the next election because of a family health issue, in a blow to Labor's hopes of winning a second term in government.
Mr Wyatt, who been Treasurer since Labor's landslide election victory in 2017, announced his intention to leave politics on Tuesday flanked by WA Premier Mark McGowan.
