Woolworths says there has been a 26 per cent jump in violent incidents at its stores in the past year, with Victoria accounting for half of that spike, as retailers used this month’s profit season to highlight increased theft and aggression against staff.
The supermarket giant on Wednesday said it had substantially upgraded its security in the second half of the financial year, with more measures to come.
