Vic corruption commission too constrained, ex chief warns

The former boss of Victoria’s integrity watchdog says Premier Daniel Andrews’ dismissal of a corruption report as “educational” was a “stark example” of why the agency’s legislative framework must be expanded.

Robert Redlich, the former commissioner of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission, on Monday said the agency must be allowed to investigate alleged corruption without the “far too onerous” provision that a crime has been committed.
