The Minns government is under pressure to downsize its proposed Great Koala National Park, with the Australian Workers Union claiming Labor left members want to shut down native forest logging and should join the Greens.
After committing in opposition to establish the park on the mid-north coast between Kempsey and Coffs Harbour, Labor has spent its first two years in office assessing 176,000 hectares of state forest for possible protection.
