Sydney train commuters face more delays amid mounting pay disputes

The head of Sydney Trains has warned that disruption to the city’s rail network could worsen on Thursday and Friday as pay disputes across the country threaten to damage already stretched state government budgets.

More than 1000 train services were cancelled on Wednesday as industrial action from several unions caused delays across every rail line in Sydney. Eight in 10 services were either cancelled or delayed in the morning.
