Surprise birthday lunch led to minister’s downfall for car misuse
NSW minister Rose Jackson says she didn’t ask colleague Jo Haylen why they were using a government car to go to lunch because she was excited by the surprise.
NSW Premier Chris Minns has declined to call an audit into the use of government cars and drivers despite conceding that ministers other than one who quit over the misuse have also used them for private purposes.
