Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews faces more pressure over hotel quarantine when Prime Minister Scott Morrison receives his independent review of each state's program this week from the former health and finance department boss Jane Halton.

The details of the review, yet to be made public, come as Mr Andrews comes under growing political pressure after the shock resignation of Health Minister Jenny Mikakos, who said she could not remain in his cabinet following his evidence to the state's inquiry.
