Mikakos resignation 'appropriate': Andrews

Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos has resigned from cabinet and will be replaced by Martin Foley, a day after Premier Daniel Andrews told the hotel quarantine inquiry that she was "accountable" for the botched program.

Premier Andrews said Mr Foley, the Mental Health Minister, would be sworn in this afternoon and had the portfolio experience, skills and background to do the job well.
