NSW toughens laws on Nazi symbols and inciting hatred
New criminal offences for protests at places of worship, intentionally inciting racial hatred, and displaying Nazi symbols at synagogues will be unveiled by the NSW government as the centrepiece of its crackdown on antisemitism.
Premier Chris Minns will announce the measures on Thursday after a spate of antisemitic graffiti incidents, arson attacks and the discovery of explosives in a caravan outside Sydney potentially destined for a mass casualty attack have left the Jewish community living in fear.
