NSW premier backs independent administration of CFMEU
NSW Premier Chris Minns has backed the federal government’s move to appoint an independent administrator in charge of the CFMEU in NSW after announcing he would suspend the militant union and reject any donations from it.
Queensland Premier Steven Miles on Tuesday temporarily suspended political donations from the CFMEU following disturbing interstate allegations of violence and intimidation by the union, while Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan did the same on Monday.
