ACCC urged to investigate CFMEU-John Holland ‘damning document’

Competition experts are shocked at a secret agreement between John Holland and the CFMEU to only use three union-backed labour hire companies on a major NSW project, and have called on the watchdog to investigate.

Former ACCC tsar Rod Sims said the federal government needed to review competition laws’ interaction with labour laws to crack down on such arrangements in the construction industry, which he warned blew out the cost of construction and seriously damaged the economy.
