NSW has become the final state to legalise assisted dying, as Prime Minister Scott Morrison rules out revisiting a federal ban prohibiting territories from making similar laws under a re-elected Coalition.
Amendments to the scheme passed the NSW Legislative Council 23-15 in a conscience vote on Thursday following a marathon debate, before returning briefly to the lower house for the final tick of approval.
