The major parties are up against a motley crew of candidates – including a mining billionaire, a former premier and the One Nation founder – in the race for the final two Senate seats in Queensland.
While the Liberal National Party and ALP are each likely to pick up two Senate seats in the May 21 poll, disgruntled voters are expected to turn elsewhere for the fifth and sixth spots in the Sunshine State.
