Up to three-quarters of potential carbon emissions reduction projects offered into the Emissions Reduction Fund at its first auction are likely to be rejected as too expensive, carbon advisory firm RepuTex says.
The Clean Energy Regulator announced last week it would run the first auction for the $2.55 billion fund, the centrepiece of the government’s direct action policy, in mid-April.
