The NSW corruption watchdog has been urged to investigate a Sydney council's favourable planning decision for disgraced Chinese billionaire Huang Xiangmo as the Labor mayor defies growing pressure to stand aside.

The Australian Financial Review revealed on Wednesday Mr Huang’s Yuhu Group stood to make a $135 million profit from the redevelopment of Eastwood Plaza, which was put up for sale after final approval was granted in August.
