National law firm HWL Ebsworth will acquire mid-tier TressCox Lawyers, showing further consolidation in the legal sector less than two months after global firm Norton Rose Fulbright officially absorbed local firm Henry Davis York.
Effective February 5, the combination will solidify HWL Ebsworth's position as the nation's largest law firm by size according to The Australian Financial Review's Law Partnership Survey; a spot reached three years' ago following aggressive growth.
