Greens threaten to block Andrews’ housing reforms if demands not met
Victorian Greens leader Samantha Ratnam is following her federal counterparts into battle against Labor over housing after demanding that any reform to the state’s planning laws will require half of all new homes in developments to be public and affordable.
Premier Daniel Andrews has repeatedly said boosting supply is the best way to tackle housing affordability and that it will be the focus of a comprehensive housing statement to be released in the coming months.
