When Prime Minister Scott Morrison names the date for the coming election – either in March or May – the Liberals will be defending 10 of WA’s 15 federal seats.
The prospects of retaining all 10 in the current environment are nil. And unless Morrison can repeat his 2019 performance and conjure up another “miracle”, the Liberals could lose five of those seats on a bad day. And that almost certainly would cost them government.
