Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil has released the government’s review of the immigration system, set to kick off a multi-year overhaul to ensure Australia can fill labour force gaps and attract the world’s best and brightest.

The review – led by former public service boss Martin Parkinson and experts Joanna Howe and John Azarias – will lead to all temporary skilled workers being offered a pathway to permanent residency in Australia.
