Voters want more action to cut airfares, open to Qantas-Jetstar split
Four in five voters think the Albanese government needs to do more to boost competition in the aviation sector, while just under half support Qantas and Jetstar being broken up to drive down ticket prices.
The results of The Australian Financial Review/Freshwater Strategy poll will give succour to Coalition transport spokeswoman Bridget McKenzie, who this month called on the government to consider divestiture powers.
