One of the biggest advocates for the Indigenous Voice within the Liberal Party, shadow attorney-general Julian Leeser will warn the Albanese government risks losing conservative ‘yes’ supporters if it fails to provide details on how the body will operate.
In a significant intervention, Mr Leeser – who is also the Opposition’s Indigenous Australians spokesman – will tell the Young Liberals national convention on Saturday that proponents of the Voice need the details, so they know what they are arguing for.
