Victoria’s snap lockdown goes a step further than the rest

Victoria has joined Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland in ordering a snap five-day lockdown in response to COVID-19 outbreaks among hotel quarantine workers, but gone a step further than most in locking down the entire state.

Both WA and Queensland locked down just their capital cities and areas associated with locally transmitted cases earlier this year, while Victoria and SA have shut down their entire states.
